Solve It from the Roots Up

The axe is already laid at the root of the trees...

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.” — Isaiah 55:8–9

Some of you are circling the same mountain. The conflict, the pattern, the lack keeps returning. "You have circled this mountain long enough. Now turn north," (Deuteronomy 2:3). You have tried to fix what you can see, yet it keeps coming back.

It is important to PRAY at all times. It is important to ASK, SEEK and KNOCK. God will answer you as you pray but God does not answer like man. He does not manage symptoms. He goes to the source.

In 2 Kings 2:19–22 the city looked pleasant, but the water was bad and the land was barren. Elisha did not treat the water in their jars or their homes. He went to the spring—the source—threw salt in it, and declared, “Thus says the LORD, ‘I have purified these waters; there shall not be from there death or unfruitfulness any longer.’” The waters were healed from that day forward.

That is how God works. He heals the spring, not only the stream. To solve it, we have to do like our Lord. Solve it from the roots. Go back to where the issue began. Do not skip it. Do not cover it up... When you solve it that way, it will work.

Jesus rebuked those who cleaned the outside of the cup and left the inside full (Matthew 23:25–26). What comes out of a person starts in the heart (Matthew 15:18–19). The axe is laid at the root of the trees (Matthew 3:10). A good tree is known by its fruit because the life is in the root (Luke 6:43–45).

Stop patching what you can see. Seek God for the source. Ask, search, knock (Matthew 7:7) and it will be revealed. When the root is dealt with, the fruit changes—and it stays changed.

Ask, seek and know the root cause. God solves it from the roots up. Be like Him...
