Prepare to Meet Your God Part 2

Updated: Jan 18, 2023

In the previous article, we saw that salvation and the fruit of the spirit are a must have in preparation to stand before the Lord!

John 15 - How to Bear Fruit

I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from me, you can do nothing.” John 15:5

Jesus told us that He is the vine and that we are the branches. He says to us, “Be a branch that is connected to Me. Be a branch that bears fruit, fruit that remains.

Observe the tree. What works does the branch have to do to bear fruit except to stay connected to the tree? So be a branch that stays connected to the Vine (Jesus) and only eat what He feeds you. Cling to Jesus and never let Him go.

Today the world wants to feed you. Today the media wants to feed you. Today Hollywood wants to feed you. Today the fake news wants to feed you. Today, the phones and the games want to steal your heart away so that you depend upon them and that you think you cannot do anything without them! Today, there are many things that want to feed your soul and to fill you up with negativity, news and knowledge of this world, don't let them have you, God wants to feed you with His own hand through His word, so choose wisely where you will eat from. The Word of God is a believer’s daily bread and he who eat of this bread is feeding from the True Vine and shall live. “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4)

It is like a baby in the mother’s womb! The baby must stay connected to the mother through the umbilical cord. The baby feed from the mother and not from some foreigners.

When you receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal savior - your Messiah, you are saved. The one who is saved is connected to the Vine (Jesus). To stay connected is to REMAIN IN HIM.

  • 1. Read and listen to His word daily and observe it. (Don’t fast the Word of God!)

  • Abide in Him: Remember the Lord, that He is always with you. Be conscious of His presence with you throughout the day. You are not alone. Think about him, talk to Him, fellowship with Him daily.

  • Let His word abide in you: “This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.” Joshua 1:8

  • Be clean and stay clean, cleansed by His word. "You are already clean because of the word that I have spoken to you" (John 15:3).

Remember that not every branch bears fruit (Matthew 21:18-19). Only those who remains in Jesus, in season and out of season; in good times and bad times; - those who persevere to the end are the ones that will bear fruit. If you continually feed from Him and obey His word, you will bear fruit that remains!

Thank you for sharing. May God Bless You to Bear the Fruit of the Spirit!
